  1. TF,

I tried to find your email address on your profile page, but no luck.

I was wondering if you could help a Reformed brother out. I have written an article on the technical aspects of John 1:1, and I think I'm ready to post it on my blog, but I would really like to have it critiqued by someone who knows more biblical Greek than I do (as one fellow I heard said, "I'm not a Greek scholar--but I know how to listen to men who are").

Would you or someone you know have time to read it? It's not very long, it may take about 20 minutes to read. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

  2. I'd be happy to read it. Apparently my email address had been removed from my profile. I've added it again.

  3. Cool. I really do appreciate it. And feel free to rip it apart if you have to. I want it to be as accurate as possible.

  5. Hi TF -- I appreciate your challenging "SP". I do hope to make good on my promise to go back through that Greenbaggins thread and find the six different people who cited him for equivocation, back-tracking, changing the subject, etc., and putting them all in one place.

I hope you don't think I was trying to defend SP. I simply am not familiar with his background.

  7. TF, no, you caught on to him in a day. He is "Sean Patrick" at Called to Communion. I wrestled with him quite extensively at Jason Stellman's blog, probably for the better part of a year.

You are one of the most knowledgeable and amazing people I have ever seen who is in this business. Thank you for what you do.

  8. By the way, I am preparing a fairly thorough response to Taylor Marshall's snide comments to Pastor King. I've met DTK personally (used to hang out with him at NTRMin, and when he came to Pittsburgh for the PCA's General Assembly in 2003, I picked him up from the airport and had dinner with him. He is one of the most gracious individuals I've ever met.

  9. You're very kind, and I agree with your assessment of Pastor King.

  10. TF,

I was wondering if you've had a chance to read the piece on John 1:1 I emailed to you? I know you're busy, so if you haven't had time, I understand. Keep up the good fight!

  12. Mr. Bugay,

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. You should be able to obtain my email via my blogger profile.

  14. Since I didn't see any actual criticism of Turretinfan on the "Criticsm of Turretinfan" blog, I decided to add some.

My (constructive) criticism is that there should be an open forum for January, February, and March 2010, but there isn't.

    My work is done here.

    In Christ,

  15. TF, I was wondering what is your (or if you have an) opinion regarding whether good works are means of one's sanctification or are the products of sanctification. My intuition causes me to lean towards the latter, but several passages in Scripture which command us to cleanse ourselves (e.g. 2 Corinthians 7:1, 1 John 1:9) seem to imply the means by which one's mind is renewed and sin is mortified is cooperative.

  16. The dialogue between Turretinfan and John Bugay made me a bit uncomfortable. I will back away slowly now...

  17. TF,

I was wondering as to your views on James White's enedifying attack on women based on looks? Momon and Russian women were insulted by James and his friend, Richard:

    Thanks

  18. I don't think your characterization of what was said is accurate, Mr. Snow.

  19. TF, its on audio. Check it for yourself.

However, if you have any inaccuracies to point out please do pass them onto me as I would certainly review the situation.

    Thanks

    Peace

  20. Mr. Snow, the full show is on audio, and I heard it live. I disagree with your characterizations.
